Abondance 11 km from Châtel: Chalet Briet, in the district of Sous le Pas-Melon, 2 km from the centre of Abondance, in a quiet, sunny position, on a side street. (In winter snow chains necessary). Parking. Shop, grocers, restaurant 2 km. Cable cabin 2.5 km, skisport facilities 8 km. Please note: car essential. Access via sloping road 400 m.

Housing:
4-room chalet 90 m2 on 3 levels: living/dining room 25 m2, with open fireplace and TV, exit to the balcony. 1 room with 1 x 2 bunk beds. Kitchen (4 hotplates, oven, dishwasher). Shower, sep. WC. Upper floor: 2 rooms, each room with 1 double bed. Small lounge. Shower/WC. Electric heating. Balcony, south facing position. Terrace 9 m2. Terrace furniture. View of the mountains. Facilities: washing machine, dryer. Please note: telephone for incoming calls only. Wood not provided.

Abondance:
1000 - 1700 m. Mountain village, summer holiday resort and winter sports resort with 1377 inhabitants, 104 km north-east from Annecy, 213 km north-east from Lyon, 80 km south from Lausanne (Suisse). Museum, attractions. Access: access via a mountain road. Railway station Thonon-Les-Bains 27 km. Bus service. Evian 30 km. Chatel 11 km. Morzine 28 km. Abondance is situated at the foot of the Mont de Grange nature reserve. It is not only well-known due to the fact that it is part of the Portes du Soleil (one of Europes largest regions) but also for its hospitality. Regular transfer buses between Abondance and Chatel. For arrivals by plane: airport Lyon (LYS) 208 km, Genève (GVA) 64 km, Annecy (NCY) 104 km.

Cross country ski tracks, ski walking paths, winter walking paths. Ski bus. Further skiing: Chatel at 11 km, Morzine at 27 km, La Chapelle dAbondance at 5 km. Abondance is part of the 12 French and Swiss resorts of the "Portes du Soleil" region with a total of 234 mountain railways and 276 ski runs with a total length of 650 km.
