491 m. Small city, 27 km from Marktredwitz, 60 km from Hof, 80 km from Bayreuth. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Indoor pool. Access: railway station Wiesau 15 km. Bus service. Kulmbach 85 km. worthseeing in Waldsassen are the basilica and the monastery. Excursions to stone maze Wunsiedel (35 km) and to Neualbenreuth, Walsassen is also a good starting point for trips to Czech Republic in particular to the traingle of Karlsbad, Marienbad and Franzenbad (50 km). For arrivals by plane: airport Nürnberg (NUE) 135 km, München (MUC) 235 km.
