Villa Elea is situated not far from lake Trasimeno, approx 8 km from Castiglione del Lago, surrounded by rolling green hills down towards Lake Chiusi. It is a country house, with lots of outdoor areas in grounds of approx 4000 m2, totally enclosed and with beautiful views. Very interesting excursions possibilities in the area, thanks to the position right on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, a few kilometres from Chiusi (railway station/ Intercity will stop there), in an area rich in historical places like: Chianciano, Montepulciano, Pienza, Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto, Cortona. Cosy, simple villa Villa Elea 8 km from the centre of chiusi. Private: swimming pool (9 x 4 m, 01.06.-30.09.), garden furniture. Linen change weekly. Shop 2 km, railway station Chiusi 8 km.The pool is open from 01.06 to 30.09.
Housing: 7-room house 240 m2 on 2 levels, on the ground floor: entrance hall. Living/dining room with open fireplace and TV. 1 room with 1 double sofa bed. Kitchenette (oven, deep freezer). Shower/WC. Upper floor: entrance hall. 3 double bedrooms. 1 room with 2 beds. Bath/bidet/WC. Facilities: washing machine. Please note: only 1 dog accepted. Summer house: living/dinging room with kitchenette, fireplace, woodburning oven, large barbeque in the garden with washbasin (hotwater) near the swimming pool.
Castiglione Del Lago: Well-known bathing resort with 14000 inhabitants, in the western part of the region directly by the Lago Trasimeno, 50 km west from Perugia, 62 km south from Arezzo. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Thermal pool, health cures at 20 km. Access: motorway A1 Firenze - Roma, exit number Valdichiana. Then road 75bis - SS. 71. Railway station in the resort. Cortona 25 km. Chiusi 15 km. Chianciano Terme 20 km. Castiglione del lago was built on a limestone headland which used to be the 4thisland on the Lake Trasimeno. Many archeological finds from its Etrurian originswere discovered in the countryside. Many beaches. Daily ferry trips to the other 3 islands. For arrivals by plane: airport Firenze (FLR) 135 km.
