Cicmany: 665 m. This small village is situated deep in the mountains of northern Slovakia and has wonderful timber houses specially painted by hand. This 13th century place grew up during the invasion of Turks into Slovakia. Excursions: Rajecka Lesna, 14 km; Bojnice castle, 30 km; castles in Trencin, 50 km and Sulov, 40 km; spa town Rajecke Teplice, 25 km. Small village, 40 km south from Zilina. In the resort: shops, grocers, post office, restaurant, folklore evenings, museum. For arrivals by plane: airport Bratislava (BTS), Wien International (VIE), Zilina (ILZ).
