Terchová: 989 - 1709 m. Village, 25 km east from Zilina. Well-known winter and summer holiday resort situated at the foot of the Mala Fatra nature reserve, founded in the 16th century. The local architecture and customs are particularly interesting. Birthplace of national hero Juraj Janosik (1688-1713).
