Macher: Small resort, in the southern part of the island, 12 km west from Arrecife, 3 km north from Pto del Carmen. In the resort: supermarket, shops, restaurant, bar. Access: access via a good road. Situated in the district of Tias, whose coastline is the most important on the island, started from the small fishing village of Puerto del Carmen and which has progressively grown from the succession of marvellous beaches which mix with the rocky formations. Inland in Tias, is the valle of Geria, formed from volcanic ash. In this area there is a large number of socio-cultural centres: Teatro Municipal, the culture house and its civic centre and services.
