Charfacteristic former boarding house (220m2) situated in Anroig within 20 min. from the beach of Vinaròs and Peñíscola along the Costa del Azahar. There is a communal swimming pool (open 1/7-31/8) in Anroig, which is shared with 20 houses. This crafty and rustic style restored house is equipped with details like: nature stone walls and beam ceilings of olive trees and stone arches from the XIVth and XVIth century. Another detail is the stairway of the olive tree wood, which is supported by a pine tree trunk.
The house is situated within 4km from the centre of the town Xert (Chert). On this place were up to halfway the XXth century a number of boarding houses, where the coaches stay overnight, which drive between Vinaròs and Morella. This village is truly a peaceful place reden.
Xert/Chert is located in the area Bajo Maestrazgo (Baix Maestrat) in the north of the province Castellón. The town has approx. 1.000 inhabitants and is located on a height of 450m. In the nature rich surrounding, you will find mountain tops like the El Tormassal (807m) and El Turmell (1276m). The area is known for its value in hunting and by the diverse flora. The summer nights are fresh here with perceptible difference between day and night. In the winter it is seldom that the temperature goes below 0ºC. If it snows in the surrounding mountains, the landscape becomes spectacular, surely with the view over the walled in town Morella (within 1000m.; 20 min. drive).
