This farmhouse is situated near the timber line on Östfjället in the heart of Sälenfjället. The spacious veranda offers views towards south to the mountain of Östra Kalven and the sunset over Norway towards west. The house has been inspired by Västerdalarna's oldest wood-built house, and workmen and materials have been chosen from the area. Pine trees which are 200 years old have been used for the floor and roof. These combined with the leaded windows with glass blown by mouth and the large, open fireplaces create a home which is worth seeing. There is room for three families - 12 persons can easily sit around the dining table. Drying cupboard. Non-smoking house.
