Description
Someo: Simple rustic house situated on the outskirts of the town. In a quiet, sunny position. Motor access to 100 m from the house. Footpath to the house. Parking at 300 m. Shop 7 km, restaurant, bus stop 200 m. Swimming in the river 400 m. Pergola with table, barbecue and lawn.

Housing:
4-room house on 2 levels, simple furnishings: living/dining room with open fireplace, exit to the patio. Open kitchen (oven). Electric heating. Upper floor: 1 open room with 2 beds and open fireplace, exit to the balcony. 1 room with 2 beds. Bath/WC. Please note: only 1 dog accepted. Wooden staircase from the ground floor upstairs. From the double bedroom upstairs, unique access to the twin bedroom with fireplace. Small neighbouring building, ground floor: 1 room with fireplace. 1st floor (outside staircase): 1 room with double bed. WC accessed from outside. Small rooms and short doors.

Valle Maggia:
200 - 750 m. The Valle Maggia has an area of 568 m2, a fifth of the whole Ticino. The largest valley, 56 km long, offers several aspects. Between the bottom village Avegno (299 m) and the highest Bosco Gurin (1507 m) there is a gap of 1208 m. The valley splits in Ponte Brola into Maggia valley and Centovalli. In the Maggia valley there are several more little valleys: Val di Campo and Val di Bosco, Val Bavona, Val Lavizzara and Val Peccia. Cevio is the main village of the Maggiata valley and is situated 29 km north of Locarno. In Someo there are the waterfalls of Soladino (100 m dep). Shops and swimming pool in Bignasco. The Valle Maggia is a lovely holiday resort, in an idyllic position. Access: access via a good road. Railway station Locarno. Bus service. PLEASE NOTE: not all villages have public transport. For arrivals by plane: airport Lugano (LUG), Milano-Malpensa (MXP), Zürich (ZRH).

Activities:
During summer time:
Beach. Bathing bay. 1 cable car, 700 km walking path. Bicycles paths. Wonderful swimming experience in the cristal clean water of Maggia. Nice sandy beaches in Avegno and water basin in Aurigeno. For lovers of peace and quiet, the area between Lodano and Someo is ideal, also the first part of the Lavizza valley from Cavergno and Broglio, for instance Bavona. For anybody looking for something special there are the waterfalls in Maggia, Giumaglio or "Puz Bel" in Cavergno. From San Carlo, 14 km from Someo there is a cable car to Robei (1905 m) a lovely mountain tour.
During winter time:
Ski region Bosco Gurin. 3 drag lifts. 5 km cross country ski tracks in the region.
