Valle Verzasca: 500 - 920 m. The Verzasca is surely the only valley that took its origin from the south of the Alps. It starts in Gordola and it develops on 29 km until Sonogno. The number of different aspect in such a short distance is incredible. From the shores of Lake Maggione there is a road along the vineyards until the dyke of Verzasca. Sonogno has interesting craft centre and museum. Holiday resort. All shops, restaurants etc. in Tenero 29 - 30 km. In the resort: grocers, restaurant. Access: access via a narrow, winding, good road. Railway station Tenero. Bus service. For arrivals by plane: airport Lugano (LUG), Milano-Malpensa (MXP), Zürich (ZRH).
Activities: During summer time: Swimming and diving in the Verzasca, mountain stream. Several walking paths to Pincascia, Carecchio, Brione. The most beautiful walks start in the Verzasca valley : from Mergocia or Tenero until Sonogno. Sport centre in Tenero. Beach. Walking path.
